Facebook is about to make bono the richest rock star on the planet

| U2 rocker Bono will make $ 765 million of profit, thanks to his investment in Facebook.
Bono’s investment company Elevation Partners bought $210 million worth of Facebook shares in 2009. This week, the social network has been valued at $65 billion, which means that Bono and his company’s share of Facebook is now valued at an impressive $975 million. U2 is already one of the world’s highest-earning groups, making over $736 million on their latest 360 Tour. As of today, Sir Paul McCartney, is the richest rock star in the world with a wealth estimated at $600 to $750 million. When Facebook goes public, Bono will take the title. |
