Gucci treading on the digital path

Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry, the iconic Italian brand's jewelry arm has announced to unveil its new digital shop-in-shop format at selected departmental and airport stores all across the world.
The new display, which would be centrally located in the store, would have a 40” vertical video touch-screen. This screen would be used by sales executives to show customers Gucci's collection of handbags, timepieces, clothes and jewelry, which includes the likes of the Horsebit, Diamantissima, Bamboo and GG. There would be a video presentation depicting the brand's journey over the years, which includes its novelties, partnerships and traditions followed. Additionally, the counter would have an iPad loaded with watch and jewelry catalogs. Customers can access these catalogs on their own. The brand stated that these devices are remotely controlled and the data is regularly updated. Customers would be able to view the products in the digital shops as soon as they are launched. It means that customers need not wait any more for products to reach the shops and can easily order in prior. The aim behind the move is to transform the traditional shopping approach into an innovative and multi-faceted experience. |
