Selena Gomez said she chose to submerge in water for the shoot, as she wanted the audience to feel as if she was swimming in her self-titled fragrance.

She also added, "The water is actually lit from underneath, so it made it look pink and purple, like the colors of the bottle”. She believed that the whole underwater ad made the campaign look cool and sensual at the same time. The 19 year old singer/actress, who is currently dating Justin Bieber, hopes to see her new fragrance create a rage in the perfume industry.

Sounding really excited about the new fragrance, Selena said, "It's going to be something different too because my fans are going to help me choose it so it'll be very fan involved. I've had some great suggestions from my fans already, they've been choosing some really good fragrances so it's very exciting."
