Facebook launches the App Center

| Facebook is introducing a new feature to help users discover mobile and web apps. The App Center is rolling out initially to US users and will later be available in customised versions for other countries.
App Center counts around 600 approved apps at launch. It offers app recommendations based on the user's interests on Facebook and what contacts are using. It then directs the user to the app's website, Apple App Center or Google Play to download the app. On a PC, users can send an app directly to their phone. The App Center will also be integrated in Facebook's iOS and Android apps. You can already access the desktop version here. |
