| Google announced a new feature for its Chrome 11 web browser: a voice recognition tool. Concretely, Google uses the programming interface SpeechInput developed by the W3C consortium, responsible for regulating web practice. This is for Google to be first on the standardization of this property that remains for the moment in an undeveloped brainstorming state by the HTML Working Group Speech Incubator. "Developers will be able to add to their web applications the ability to transcript voice into text" said the engineer Satish Sampath on the official Google Chrome blog. He added that to use this feature it will be necessary to activate it by clicking on a button and speak into the computer’s microphone.
