It was founded by Charles Stewart Rolls and Henry Royce in 1904 and is the current producer of Rolls-Royce branded automobiles, whose historical production also has its roots in 1904. The company is part of the BMW Group.

Bentley Motors Ltd is a British manufacturer of automobiles with its headquarters and main production facilities in Crewe, UK. The company was founded on 18 January 1919 by Walter Owen Bentley; he had previously been known for his range of rotary aero-engines in the First World War, the most famous of these being the Bentley BR1 used in later versions of the Sopwith Camel airplane. The company has been owned by the Volkswagen Group of Germany since 1998.

Maybach-Manufaktur is a German luxury car manufacturer founded in 1909 by Wilhelm Maybach, with his son Karl Maybach acting as director. The company was originally a subsidiary of Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH and was itself known as Luftfahrzeug-Motorenbau GmbH (“Aircraft Engine Building Company”) until 1912, when it was renamed Maybach Motorenbau GmbH Friedrichshafen. Jaguar Cars Ltd is a British luxury car manufacturer based in Coventry, England. It was originally founded as the Swallow Sidecar Co by Sir William Lyons in 1922 to build motorcycle sidecars before moving on to passenger car manufacture. Early in 1945 the company’s name was changed to Jaguar due to the negative connotations of the former name’s abbreviation “SS”.

Jaguar automobiles are designed in Jaguar Land Rover’s engineering centers at the Whitley plant in Coventry, and at Gaydon in Warwickshire. They are built in two of Jaguar Land Rover’s plants: Castle Bromwich assembly plant in Birmingham, and Halewood Body & Assembly near Liverpool.

It is wholly owned by the Indian company Tata Motors Ltd, which operates it as part of their Jaguar Land Rover business.
