Maserati:
Maserati is an Italian luxury-car manufacturer established on December 1, 1914, in Bologna. The company now has its headquarters in Modena, Italy; it has been owned by Fiat, the Italian car giant, since 1993. Inside the Fiat Group, Maserati was initially associated with Ferrari SpA., but more recently it has become part of the sports car group that includes Alfa Romeo.
From the beginning of the 20th century, the Maserati brothers Alfieri, Bindo, Carlo, Ettore, and Ernesto were all involved with automobiles. Alfieri, Bindo, and Ernesto built 2-litre Grand Prix cars for the Diatto company. In 1926 Diatto suspended the production of race cars, leading to the conception of the first Maserati and the founding of the Maserati marque. One of the first Maseratis to be built won the 1926 Targa Florio with Alfieri at the wheel. Maserati began making race cars with 4, 6, 8, and 16 cylinders. Mario, the sixth brother and an artist, is believed to have devised the company’s emblem based on a trident at the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.

Corvette:
The Chevrolet Corvette is a sports car by the Chevrolet division of General Motors.
The Corvette has been produced in six generations. The first model, a convertible designed by Harley Earl, was introduced at the GM Motorama in 1953 as a concept car. Myron Scott chose the name of the car after the type of small, maneuverable warship called corvette. The Corvette is built in Bowling Green, Kentucky and is the official sports car of Kentucky.
The current (sixth or C6) generation of Corvette comes complete with the front engine and rear transmission of the C5. The car design is all new including exposed headlamps (for the first time since 1962), a larger passenger space, a new 6.0 liter engine and improved suspension geometry.
The 6.0-liter (364 cu in) V8-powered engine produces 400 bhp (300 kW) at 6000 rpm and 424 lb·ft (575 N·m) at 4400 rpm, allowing this sports car a 0–60 time of under 4.2 seconds.
The Corvette Z06 was launched as a 2006 model in late 2005. In 2008, the Corvette received a light facelift: a new LS3 engine with displacement increased to 6.2 L (380 cu in), resulting in 430 bhp (321 kW) and 424 lb·ft (575 N·m) (436 bhp (325 kW). The 6-speed manual transmission also has improved shift linkage and a 0–60 time of 4.0 seconds, while the automatic is arranged for faster shifts giving the C6 automatic a 0–60 time of 4.3 seconds, faster than any other production automatic Corvette. The interior was slightly upgraded with a new leather interior package.
