Christian Louboutin: Christian Louboutin (born 7 January 1964) is a French designer of women's footwear who launched his eponymous line of high-end shoes in France in 1991. In 1992 Louboutin incorporated shiny, red-lacquered soles into his designs and they have become his signature. He filed an application for US trademark protection of this red sole design on 27 March 2007.
In the 1990s and 2000s, Louboutin designs helped bring stiletto heels back into fashion, presenting dozens of models with heel heights of 120 mm (4¾ in) or more. Louboutin's professed goal is to "make a woman look sexy, beautiful, to make her legs look as long as possible." Although he does offer some models in lower-heeled styles, Louboutin is best known for dressier evening designs that have jewel-encrusted straps, bows, feathers, patent-leather accents and similar decorative touches.
Christian Louboutin shoes are unanimously considered to be the most prestigious women's shoes.

Jimmy Choo: Jimmy Choo Ltd is a British high fashion house that specializes in luxury hand-made women's shoes and designer bags. The company was founded in 1996 by Tamara Mellon, British Vogue magazine accessories editor, and Jimmy Choo, couture shoe designer from Malaysia.
Born in Penang, Malaysia, into a family of shoemakers, Jimmy Choo made his first shoe when he was eleven. He attended Cordwainers Technical College in Hackney, North London (now part of the London College of Fashion), and graduated in 1983, possibly to become one of their most prominent students. Choo held part-time jobs at restaurants and at a shoe factory – as a cleaner – to help fund his college education.
Jimmy Choo's commercial beginnings can be traced back to 1986, when he acquired his workshop by renting an old hospital building in Hackney. His craftsmanship and designs soon came to the notice of the fashion world and Choo was catapulted to international attention in 1988, when his creations were featured in a record eight-page spread in Vogue magazine. Patronage from Princess Diana from 1990 onwards served to boost his image further.
In April 2001, Choo sold his 50 % stake in the company for GBP 10 million. He has since focused his talent on the exclusive Jimmy Choo Couture line, manufactured under license from Jimmy Choo Ltd.
The Jimmy Choo International flagship store is in Bond Street, London. Jimmy Choo boutiques are found throughout the USA: in Atlanta, Bellevue, Beverly Hills, Boston, Canoga Park, Chicago, Costa Mesa, Dallas, Honolulu, Houston, Las Vegas, New York, Orlando, Palm Beach, Phoenix, and Washington, DC, among other locations. |

Manolo Blahnik: Manuel "Manolo" Blahnik Rodríguez (born 28 November 1942) is a Spanish fashion designer and founder of the eponymous high-end shoe brand. Born and raised in the Canary Islands, Spain, Blahnik graduated from the University of Geneva in 1965 and studied art in Paris. He moved to London in 1968, where he worked at Zapata fashion boutique and wrote for Vogue Italia.
After seeing his portfolio of fashion and set designs, Diana Vreeland advised Blahnik to apply his gift to designing footwear exclusively. In 1972, Ossie Clark invited him to create shoes for Clark's runway show. After borrowing GBP 2000 Blahnik went on to buy Zapata from its owner and open his own boutique. In the 1970s Blahnik focused on the stiletto heel, then out of fashion, and turned it into the brand's mainstay to this day. Very quickly, Manolo Blahnik shoes became a symbol of pure style for the 21st century.
To this day Manolo Blahnik's flagship store is in Old Church Street, Chelsea, London. Blahnik boutiques can be found in Athens, Dubai, Dublin, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Kuwait, Las Vegas, London, Madrid, New York, Seoul, and Singapore. Bloomingdale's (for which Blahnik created his first American collection), Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, and Saks Fifth Avenue all carry his line in the USA and in a brand new location in Dubai Mall.
Blahnik has held the honorary title of Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for service to the British fashion industry since 2007. |

Bruno Frisoni: Bruno Frisoni shoes are luxury hand-made shoes designed by Bruno Frisoni. Frisoni was born in 1960 of Italian parents. Frisoni initiated his career by working with legendary fashion designers starting with Jean-Louis Scherrer in 1980 and going on to Maryll Lanvin and Christian Lacroix.
In 1995 Frisoni decided to go into business on his own and began free-lancing, collaborating with the fashion houses of Trussardi, Givenchy, and with Albert Elbaz at Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche. Bruno Frisoni launched his first shoe collection in 1999.
His early grounding in fashion and couture cultivated Frisoni's taste for haute fantasy designs. When designing a heel, he first sketches a silhouette and defines an attitude. Frisoni works "on the body," draping materials and trimmings over feet like a dress designer does over a human torso.
Bruno Frisoni has his showroom in Paris; his shoes retail at many locations around the world. |
